Tokyo bekana $3 per bunch

Rhubarb is ready this week! Nick thick and vibrant stalks, one of the first signs that spring is here and summer is on the way. $5 per bunch, each bunch contains 1 ¼ lbs.

 

Happy May everyone! We are finally getting some rain on the farm this week. We started planting our first crop of potatoes last week, sweet potatoes will go in at the beginning of next month. The ground is prepped and ready to start planting tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, and celery in the coming weeks.

 

We will be at the Peterborough farmers market on Wednesday from 3-6pm in the Bowling Acres parking lot. Bedford farmers market begins on May 13, a week from Tuesday, and will be every Tuesday from 3-6pm in the Murphy’s Taproom parking lot off 101.

Romaine lettuce heads are available this week, $4 per head. Crispy and fresh, excellent for a spring salad. 

 

Hope everyone has been soaking up the sun this week. Some more warm temps and finally some rain on the way on the farm. Rhubarb is growing fast and we will hopefully have some available in the coming weeks. Overwintered kale is starting to bounce back. Peas, beets, and carrots are all germinating. We will begin planting our first round of potatoes this week!

 

As usual we will be at the Peterborough farmers market this Wednesday from 3-6pm in the Bowling Acres parking lot on Elm st.

Lots of hearty greens available. Our hearty greens are a mix of young arugula, baby kale, tatsoi, mizuna, and red mustard greens. Slightly spicy, tender, and nutritious for a perfect salad or stir fry.

 

We are finally getting some real spring weather! Growth is speeding up on the farm and the first starts have gone in the ground outside. We planted onion, kale, swiss chard, and cabbage starts last week. 

 

Stop by the Peterborough farmers market on Wednesday from 3-6pm in the Bowling Acres parking lot to pick up some fresh greens. Three weeks until the Bedford farmers market starts up on May 13th, Tuesdays from 3-6pm in the Murphy’s Taproom parking lot.
