This Wednesday we will be at the Peterborough Farmers market from 3-5 pm in the Community Center.
The Sweet peppers are showing some wilting, but they are still good for cooking.
Here is a recipe for a 10 vegetable stir fry. Vary the amounts depending on how many this dish will serve. There is always left overs.
Sautee onions and garlic in olive oil. Add
Collards chopped
Cabbage chopped
cauliflower chopped
mushrooms sliced
Carrot strips
Beet strips
Cayenne pepper 1 chopped.
Sweet peppers the more color the better (4-6),chopped
This can stay all vegetables or you can add chicken or sausage. Season as you wish.
Here’s what’s available from storage and growing:
Tomatoes, mostly small $3 per pint box
Romaine lettuce $3 each
Sweet Peppers mostly green, few red /yellow $4 per pound
Cayenne peppers red or green $3 per pint box
Winter squash, Butternut(mostly larger) $2 per pound
Sweet potatoes $4 per pound, Larger ones with vole damage remain.
Damaged butternut, or Delicata- free
2023 CSA signups will start in January. This year’s CSA accounts run out December 31, 2022.
Farm pick ups are still available. Connect by text or email and place an order. When it is confirmed, it will be waiting for you in a small red cooler.
