Growing is going very slowly these darker cool days and nights, but still growing.
We’ve planted kale, lettuce, spinach and Asian greens. Swiss chard, collards and carrots are also growing.
Farmers markets this week are at Peterborough Community center, Wednesday fro 3-5 PM and Saturday in Milford at the town hall auditorium for 10-1pm.
Farm pick up is always available. Email([email protected]), text (603-620-7302)or call in your order and when you want to pick up. The orders are put in a red cooler where the tent was set up. Payment can be left there also.
Animals getting into greenhouses has been more of a problem this season. Extra mesh screening was needed as well as screening over rows to discourage them from eating the seeds as well as mature plants. Last night a rabbit was seen trying to get into the greenhouse unsuccessfully.
