It’s been a cooler than average month so far, but beets, carrots, and raspberries are ready.
Garlic scapes are being picked this week too. If you are not familiar with scapes they are the center stalk of a garlic. You use them just like garlic. They are fresh and juicy and have all the full favor of garlic. They are gone in two to three weeks. Picking them makes the garlic bulb grow larger.
Milford Farmers market is Saturday on Elm Street, Milford, across from the antique shop, and the Agway. Hours are 10-1PM.

Francestown Community Market is Friday from 4-6:30PM at the sheds in Francestown.

Rhubarb $4 per bunch/pound
Arugula $4 per bunch
Hearty greens(a mixture of kale, tat soi, red mustard, arugula, and mizuna) $5 per bunch
Kale $4 per bunch
Swiss chard $4 per bunch
Strawberries $ 8 per quart, $5 per pint
Tokyo Bekana $3 per bunch
Cucumbers, slicing type $1 each
Raspberries $5 per half pint box
Tomatoes small $1, medium $2, Large $3 or 4, mostly $3 each.
Salad mix $5
Radishes $3 per bunch
Beets $4 per bunch
Carrots $4 per bunch
Garlic scapes $3 per bunch
Tat soi $3 per bunch
You can pick up at the farm anytime, and receive an added discount. Email or text your order and pick up time. I’ll confirm your order and you pick up. If you have a CSA account there is nothing else to do. If your paying with cash or check made out to Ledge Top Farm, there will be a container for your purchase.
