A good soaking rain Saturday helped a lot to get the vegetables growing. Kale and Swiss chard are getting some size. Beets, onions and carrots are looking good.
Arugula is ready to pick as are Hearty Greens. A red tipped lettuce called Magenta is almost read to pick too.
Peterborough farmers market is Wednesday 3-6 PM at the Peterborough Community Center.
Francestown Community Market is Friday from 4-6:30PM at the sheds in Francestown.
Here’s what’s available this week:
Leaf lettuce, some green some red tip: $3 per bunch/head
Rhubarb $4 per bunch/pound
Salad mix $5 per bunch/bag
Arugula $4 per bunch
Hearty greens(a mixture of kale, tat soi, red mustard, arugula, and mizuna) $5 per bunch
Cilantro $3 per bunch
You can pick up at the farm anytime, and receive an added discount. Email or text your order and pick up time. I’ll confirm your order and you pick up. If you have a CSA account there is nothing else to do. If your paying with cash or check made out to Ledge Top Farm, there will be a container for your purchase.
