Our production in October drops by 50% of September production. September was a record month. The cool weather is part of the decline, although this coming week will be warmer than normal, but the decreasing light signals plants that it’s time to shut down.
Those with large balances on their CSA accounts should be are that the selection will be decreasing as the year goes on.
Two crops that are just coming into their harvest period are Brussels Sprouts and sweet potatoes. Watch for them mid October.
Farmers markets are coming to a close or going inside.
Francestown is reducing their hours from 4pm to 6 pm on Friday. Only 4 markets left at the horse sheds in Francestown.
Peterborough market will continue from 3-6pm outside at the Community Center in Peterborough.
Milford will continue outside until just before Thanksgiving, Saturday on Elm Street, Milford, across from the antique shop, and the Agway. Hours are 10-1PM.
Pick up at the farm is always available until the end of the year. Put your order in anytime and it will be waiting for you at the stand. Make sure you get a conformation on your order to be sure we got the message. Day and time you can pick up are necessary.

Cherry tomatoes(red or yellow) $5 per pint, 2 for $8

Granadero Plum tomatoes $6 per quart box
Tokyo Bekana greens $3 per bunch
Winter squash, Delicata, acorn, Butternut, all small $2 or $3 each
Spaghetti squash $4 each(small)
Mint $3 per bunch
Raspberries $5 per half pint box
Pie pumpkins(small) $4 each
Tat soi $3 per bunch
Valencia yellow tomatoes $2 each
Salad mix $5 per bunch
Slicing cucumbers $1 each
Cilantro $3 per bunch
Jonared apples $3 per quart box
We do have non salable winter squash that has surface damage or too small for the asking. No charge.
