The cold seems to be settling in on the crops. It may not be freezing at night yet here on the farm, but it’s cold enough to slow ripening and it doesn’t get warm enough in the day to cancel out the cold nights, which is very different from last October.
With the exception of Butternut and Delicata squash and maybe arugula all other items are in low supply. We are growing more but the cooler it is the more time it takes this time of the season even in the greenhouses.
The last outdoor market for Milford is this Saturday Oct 8th. There is a planned Milford indoor market starting in November but it is undecided if there will be enough produce at this farm left to join that market.
The last Francestown market is October 14th. There is no indoor market planned.
Peterborough Farmers market is outside until October 19th and goes inside on October 26th until Dec. 21st. There are plans to join that indoor market.
Pick up at the farm is always available during daylight hours. Your order is harvested just before you pick up your order so you get the freshest possible. Order via text or email and let us know when you can pick up and it will be ready for you.

Tomatoes: Beefsteak, $4 per pound
Kale $4 per bunch
Garlic $1 per ounce, most 2+ ounces
Arugula $4 per bunch
Basil $4 per bunch
Swiss Chard $4 per bunch
Cherry tomatoes $3 per box, red
Delicata squash $2 each, damaged $1 each
Sweet red peppers, some bell shape mostly banana shape $2 each or $4 per pound
Eggplant $2 each or $4 per pound
Red cayenne peppers(red rocket) $3 per box
Butternut squash $2 per pound, $2 to $10 each
Honeynut butternut squash $2 each
Acorn squash $2 each
Jonared apples $3 per pound
Beets mostly golden some red $4 per bunch
Green lettuce head $3 each
Zucchini $2 each(new crop cutting this week)
Farmers markets this week are in Peterborough Wednesday, 3-6 PM, Francestown Friday 4-6:30 and Milford Saturday 10-1 PM.
You can always pick up at the farm. Email or text your order and wait for confirmation and then pick up at the time you want.
