The real fall weather has finally arrived! Colder nights and less sunlight on the farm, but things are still growing well. Good news! We will be joining the Bedford farmers market on Tuesdays for the remainder of the season (4 more markets). This week only, if you come out and visit us at the Bedford market on Tuesday from 3-6pm at Murphy’s Taproom with a purchase of $10 or more you will get your choice of a free sweet pepper or jalapeño peppers. Stop by and say hi!
Still lots of great vegetables coming in that will be ready for harvest in the next month. Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, and a second crop of new potatoes are all on the way and growing beautifully. Kale, carrots, chard, beets, spinach, and radishes will all grow through the colder months coming and provide us with great, hearty fall vegetable recipes.
The farmers market season is drawing to a close, we have just three more Saturday markets in Milford and four more Tuesday markets in Bedford. The Peterborough farmers market will remain outside through October 23, and then move indoors in the community center the following week with reduced hours from 3-5pm. We will be at the indoor market in Peterborough through the end of December.
