There is a bountiful crop of pickling cucumbers this season. I have three varieties that are doing well. We are picking 20 pounds a day.
“Cool customer” is a pickling variety that I like best for fresh eating. They have very little seed cavity even when they are big.
“Cool customer” tends to run larger to 7 inches.
“Northern pickling” is your traditional pickling cucumber. Best if they are 4 to 6 inches.
‘Salt and pepper” is a customer favorite.
Mix or match 5 pounds for $10 or $3 per pound for 1-4 pounds
