The inventory of what has been planted so far is extensive. There are over 50 varieties of fruits and vegetables including:
Ginger, 3 varieties of sweet peppers, 6 varieties of Lettuce, Beta mix, Arugula, Green and yellow beans, Scallions, onions, snap peas, snow peas and shell peas, Rhubarb, carrots, 3 varieties of beets, zucchini, yellow summer squash, 4 varieties of cucumber, 2 varieties of cabbage, collards, Kale, Brussels Sprouts, Garlic, Sweet potatoes, 4 varieties of potatoes, fingerlings, Acorn squash, Butternut squash, Delicata squash, tatsoi, Blueberries, Raspberries, mint, Komatsuna, Pac Choy, Beef steak tomatoes, Brandywine tomatoes, Valencia tomatoes, plum tomatoes, red and yellow cherry tomatoes, swiss chard, 3 hot pepper varieties, and hearty greens.
Plants go in and out of production and if there is time we plant more, especially greens. If there are too few of any items it doesn’t go on the list of “what’s ready” but there still may be some until it grows enough that we can offer it again. Some things like spinach are early crops that grow poorly in the hot weather and are out of production in the summer.
Here’s what’s ready this week:
Rhubarb $4 per bunch
Lettuce mix $5 per bunch
Scallions $3 per bunch
Beets $4 per bunch
Collards $4 per bunch
Kale $4 per bunch
Leaf Lettuce $3 per bunch
Raspberries $4 per 1/2 pint box
Farmers markets this week are in Peterborough Wednesday, 3-6 PM, Francestown Friday 4-6:30 and Milford Saturday 10-1 PM.
CSA members should order ahead to pick up at markets.
You can always pick up at the farm. Email or text your order and wait for confirmation and then pick up at the time you want.
