This July is so different from last July. Last year July was cold and wet. This 2022 July is dry and warmer. Growth is high and production is good.
I see more cherry tomatoes daily, but still have not filled a box. Maybe this week.
Here’s what’s ready this week:
Collards $4 per bunch
Kale $4 per bunch
Raspberries $4 per box
Tomatoes, beeksteak type $4 per pound
Cabbage $2 per pound or $3 each
Carrots $4 per bunch
Garlic scapes $2 per bunch(order only, last week)
Garlic $1 per ounce, most 2+ ounces
Arugula $4 per bunch
Snap peas $5 per box(last week)
Shell or English peas $5 per box(last week)
Basil $4 per bunch
Beta mix (a mix of beet and swiss chard leaves) $5 per bunch
Golden beets or red beets $4 per bunch
Mint $3 per bunch
Cucumbers, English type $1 each(very poor growth so far)
Pickling cucumbers $4 per pound, low yield this season
Zucchini or yellow squash $2 each
Blueberries $3 per 1/2 pint box
Cilantro $3 per bunch
New potatoes, small box $3, Large box $5, red, yellow or fingerlings
Onions $2 per pound or $3 per bunch
Celery $4 per bunch
Hearty greens $5 per bunch (a mix or 5 different brassicas, good for salad mix or stir fry)
Radishes $3 per bunch
Swiss Chard $4 per bunch
Lettuce mix $5 per bunch
Farmers markets this week are in Peterborough Wednesday, 3-6 PM, Francestown Friday 4-6:30 and Milford Saturday 10-1 PM.
CSA members should order ahead to pick up at markets.
You can always pick up at the farm. Email or text your order and wait for confirmation and then pick up at the time you want.
