The wind has been a constant problem in trying to cover greenhouses with plastic. It doesn’t take much of a breeze to set a greenhouse cover sailing when you are trying to secure it to a frame. Maybe there will be some calm days this week.
Blueberries and raspberries are in flower now and it looks like a strong crop.
Field plants are still growing slowly, so there is little available now.
Drew is back this week and will be at the farmers markets.
Peterborough farmers market is Wednesday 3-6 PM at the Peterborough Community Center.
Francestown Community Market is Friday from 4-6:30PM at the sheds in Francestown.
Here’s what’s available this week:
Green leaf lettuce $3 per bunch/head
Rhubarb $4 per bunch/pound
Salad mix $5 per bunch/bag
Swiss Chard $4 per bunch
Cilantro $3 per bunch
You can pick up at the farm anytime, and received an added discount. Email or text your order and pick up time. I’ll confirm your order and you pick up. If you have a CSA account there is nothing else to do. If your paying with cash or check made out to Ledge Top Farm, there will be a container for your purchase.
