Ledge Top Farm is looking for help for the upcoming growing season! Farm work positions typically start up in May and run through the end of the summer. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to learn the ropes of organic growing and regenerative agriculture. If you or anyone you know would be interested please have them email Tom or Drew.
All this sun has been giving us some great growth in the greenhouse! Tokyo bekana, green garlic, and radishes are only a couple of weeks away from harvest. Our onion and leek starts are all germinating well, tomatoes and peppers will get started next.
At Ledge Top, we grow all of our produce from certified organic, non-GMO seeds that we start ourselves. This means that this time of the year is full of lots of planning and preparation. Even though they won’t go in the fields until May, pepper and tomato plants can take 8-12 weeks from the time they’re seeded to when they go in the ground, with transplanting stages in between. Farmers are busy all year long, even when our fields are still covered in snow!
Here’s what’s available this week:
Arugula $5 per bunch
Eggs $7 per dozen
Hearty greens mix $5 per bunch
Parsley $4 per bunch
To place your order, email tom.mitchell9@icloud.com or drewltf@icloud.com with a list of what you would like, and the date and time you will pick up. You will receive a reply when your order is confirmed. If you do not hear back within a few hours, please email us again to confirm. Have a great week!
